Darby Hoggatt is the owner of the Hoggatt Law Office, P.C. Darby is a Wyoming native who grew up in Wyoming and western South Dakota. After graduating from Spearfish High School in 1988, he attended the University of Wyoming where he obtained a bachelors of science in Finance in 1992 and a law degree in 1995. After passing the Colorado and Wyoming bar exams in the Fall of 1995, he worked in general practice with the Hughes Law Office in Sundance, Wyoming in 1996 and 1997. He then worked as a mortgage banker in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998 and 1999. He then started practicing workers’ compensation, personal injury, auto accident and social security disability law in Fort Collins, Colorado in November 1999.
Darby Hoggatt started the Hoggatt Law Office, P.C. on July 19, 2002 and has operated the law firm ever since. Darby is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Workers Compensation Education Association. Both are organizations that represent lawyers who represent the injured in their claims against insurance companies. Darby is a member of the United Day Care Center Board of Directors which is an organization that provides subsidized child care to young families in Larimer County. Darby is an active member in a local Christian organization as well.
Mac Hester is Of Counsel to Hoggatt Law Office, P.C. He is an experienced trial lawyer and has litigated and tried personal injury, divorce, and business law cases in South Carolina and Colorado. He has also handled appeals in the Supreme Court of South Carolina and in the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. Mac serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Larimer County Bar Association, South Carolina Bar, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association. Mac has diverse experience and expertise. He grew up on a farm so he knows the value of hard work and persistence. He played Division I intercollegiate football at Clemson University. He is an avid rock climber and has climbed El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Mac has strong academic interests. He was an adjunct instructor in law at Colorado State University for several years and has published articles in academic and legal journals as well as the opening chapter in the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Auto Litigation Handbook. He is the co-editor of the Auto Litigation section of Trial Talk magazine. Mac is an accomplished public speaker and does presentations for the Colorado Trial Lawyer Association and other organizations. Mac graduated from Clemson University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and he continues to apply economic principles and analysis to his cases in order to maximize gain for the client while minimizing cost. He was awarded the Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina in 1986.
